Even though I'm in college, I find the new Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush throughly entertaining. Scott Fellows, the same genius behind Ned's Declassified is also the creator of this show. I pretty much love this show. Never since Drake & Josh has a show produced by Nick been this entertaining. I can't say if this show is better than Drake and Josh or not yet because I've only seen the hour long special and the new episode which aired tonight. Everyone in my family sits down to watch it (a younger boy, a father and mother, and two teenage girls) and it entertains us all. The show is laugh out loud funny and all of the characters are just over the top enough but not unbelievable. Personally, I find all four of the show's leads attractive but that's not the reason my little brother or father watches it. Being only a half hour (umm I think Nick should try to make it an hour just because it's that great) there isn't much room to fit everything in, but they do. The dialog is amazing and there are just enough surprises that it keeps you interested. It is by far more believable then Ned's Declassified but just as hilarious.
The show is about 4 hockey players from Minnesota that are signed as a boy band. They are four normal guys that end up living in LA trying to make it in the world of music. I've read that on top of the show, the band will actually tour and sell CDs (I plan on seeing the tour if I have the money and buying the CD :D). Kind of like Nick's version of the Jonas Brothers only better. The theme song "Big Time Rush" is very catchy and always stuck in my head and I'd rather it be that song then many others. It took Nick two years to find the four boys and it was time well spent. I can't wait for the new episode on Friday!
